Pedro...wtf?
I just don't get this guy sometimes. I mean, I was never any sort of Dan Shaugnessy puritanical moralizer or anything, but I just don't get how Pedro gets off making these sorts of comments.

You know what? I saved Shaugnessy's ass during the World Series. He moved his column after the game when Marquis made the baserunning mistake, and he said it would go down in history next to "Merkle's baserunning boner in the 1908 World Series." That moved on the wire.
Well, shit. Merkle's baserunning mistake cost the Giants a chance to go to the Series. It didn't happen in the Series. So I wrote an e-mail to Shaugnessy, told him he had an error. Then I called the Globe sports desk, explained it to them, and after going through three people, they realized I was right.
Next morning -- column appeared in the Globe with no errors.
Does Shaugnessy write to me? Just an e-mail to say, hey, thanks, guy in Duluth who could have just gone right on scrolling? NO. What a loser.
Pedro sucks, too.
saw that they "replaced" pedro with matt clement. i think matty will do really well there though. good for him and his millions.
Yeah, that's a good pickup. Pedro wasn't worth that kind of money, and Clement will fill in nicely. I really thought the Sox were going to get Hudson, though.
I like Clement a lot, actually. Let's hope he can keep that disorder (is it aethsma?) under control at Fenway. Looks like our rotation is going to be:
Schilling (MAY 1)
Wells
Clement
Arroyo
Wakefield
That's not too bad. I also really like Arroyo's potential. He had a nice year, though he coughed up all those runs in the CS.
